Orphée in Greece: a magical destination wedding

Last week, we had the great chance of travelling to Greece for an incredible destination wedding! Let me tell you all about this surreal experience.

Last winter, our grooms Jonathan & Guillaume chose our wedding band to entertain their reception, which was taking in place in France, early May 2025. They told us that they were planning a civil wedding at the courthouse, and then a simple wedding reception with a hundred guests (which, I agree, is not that simple!), and they wanted our musicians to play a private show during this evening. We were already thrilled to be part of it, yet we couldn't have imagined what they asked us next...

A few weeks later, they asked us if we were also available on May 9th, because they were planning a second wedding... this time, in Greece! Indeed, they were flying the day after their civil wedding to Greece, with 30 of their closest ones, for a week of celebration in Greece. They wanted to invite their families and close friends to celebrate their love in a sunny and magical location, far away from France. However, they also wanted to plan a real wedding day there: a true destination wedding!

We planned everything for months, and when D-Day arrived, everything was truly magical. The destination wedding took place at Poliana Estate, in the South of the Peloponnese region. The grooms had rented the entire estate for their guests for the week, and for their wedding day, they first had a wedding ceremony in the ruins, with a breathtaking view over the Mediterranean Sea. We couldn't be there since there wasn't any power, however, we did set up our instruments and sound system in front of the swimming pool at the estate, ready for cocktail hour and the wedding reception.

When the grooms and the guests returned from the ceremony, we started to perform during cocktail hour, in front of the sun setting down behind the sea. It was truly magical! Our duo pianist and singer performed for three hours, from a jazzy atmosphere to a more pop musical style. Our grooms had their first dance on a cover of 'Perfect' from Ed Sheeran, and we were so glad to see everyone enjoying their night and the music.

It was the first destination wedding of our live band, but it certainly won't be the last.
Congratulations to the newlyweds!
